A highly concentrated cosmetic-grade copper peptide powder designed for advanced skincare and haircare formulation. GHK-Cu, commonly labelled Copper Tripeptide-1 in finished cosmetics, gives formulations a distinctive blue colour and is used in products intended to support smoother, firmer and healthier-looking skin.

It is suitable for experienced formulators creating premium peptide serums, moisturisers, eye products, body lotions, scalp treatments and haircare products.

Common cosmetic applications

  • Face and eye serums
  • Renewal and firming creams
  • Body lotions
  • After-treatment skincare
  • Scalp serums and sprays
  • Shampoos and conditioners
  • Multi-peptide formulations

Suggested development range

For initial laboratory development, consider testing approximately:

  • 0.05–0.1% for lightweight daily formulations
  • 0.1–0.5% for concentrated cosmetic formulations
  • Higher concentrations should only be considered after compatibility, stability and finished-product safety testing

These are formulation-development examples rather than universal regulatory limits. The correct concentration depends on the raw-material specification, intended application, exposure, packaging and completed cosmetic safety assessment. Inclusion of an ingredient in a cosmetic ingredient database does not by itself confirm that every concentration or intended use is acceptable.

Example calculations

30 g serum at 0.1%

  • GHK-Cu powder: 0.03 g
  • Remaining serum base: 29.97 g

100 g cream at 0.5%

  • GHK-Cu powder: 0.50 g
  • Remaining formulation: 99.50 g

1 kg production batch at 0.1%

  • GHK-Cu powder: 1 g
  • Remaining formulation: 999 g

Mixing instructions

  1. Accurately weigh the GHK-Cu using a calibrated precision scale.
  2. Pre-dissolve it in a small amount of distilled or deionised water.
  3. Stir gently until the solution is uniform.
  4. Add the solution during the cool-down phase, preferably below 35–40°C.
  5. Mix gently until evenly distributed.
  6. Check the finished product’s pH, colour, viscosity and stability.
  7. Package in a light-protective, airtight cosmetic container.

Avoid prolonged heating and strongly acidic or strongly alkaline conditions. Confirm compatibility before combining GHK-Cu with highly reactive ingredients, strong chelating agents or aggressive oxidising systems.
